TKDA acquires Mazda Consultants

TKDA has acquired Mazda Consultants, a long-time Saint Paul structural engineering firm.

The two firms share a complementary client base in the manufacturing and mining sectors, and a strong commitment to providing excellent design services.

“We have worked together for years and have shared employee resources in the past,” said TKDA President and CEO Tom Stoneburner. “They know our clients and our clients trust their work, so joining forces was a natural fit.”

All of the Mazda Consultants staff have moved into the TKDA office in downtown Saint Paul, joining the structural group in the Facilities Engineering Division.

“When we considered succession planning and our firm’s future, our employees were very familiar with TKDA and knew the culture would be a good fit for our team,” said Rudy Rudina, founder of Mazda Consultants. “We are happy to stay in Saint Paul, and happy to be at work in our new home.”
