The US 52 and CSAH 24 Interchange Project in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, required extensive water resources engineering services. TKDA performed the water resources design, which included 16,700 feet of storm sewer, subsurface drainage, six water quality ponds, three rate control ponds, ditches, and multiple centerline culverts including an 8-foot x 5-foot box culvert.
TKDA was also responsible for preparing the drainage plans, drainage profiles, drainage tabulations, drainage details, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, temporary erosion and sediment control plans and permanent erosion and turf establishment plans. MnDOT performed the roadway design for the project, which included a new overpass at US 52 and CSAH 24 to replace the at-grade intersection, a new interchange south of the overpass including four roundabouts, and frontage road systems.
