TKDA served as the construction engineer on behalf of BNSF during the construction of the railroad bridge/vehicular underpass and related shoofly and detour road.
The TKDA team attended weekly construction and specialized project meetings; observed and reported daily construction activities; monitored, reviewed and verified compliance to plans and specifications for the construction of shoofly tracks, pipeline excavations within railroad envelope, shoofly and retaining wall shoring construction, pile drilling for bridge abutments and center bents and all superstructure construction – girder placement, bolt testing and tightening, rebar placement requirements, etc.; observed all QA/QC testing. TKDA also performed safety audits of all onsite personnel for compliance with BNSF safety regulations while working within railroad property.
