Minnesota Department of Transportation needed to replace two aging bridges in Lanesboro, Minnesota to improve future travel conditions. TKDA provided designs, plans and special provisions for Bridge 23027 over the South Branch Root River and Bridge 23028 over the Root River.
As part of these bridge replacements TKDA provided temporary and permanent drainage design including multiple centerline culverts, storm sewer systems, bridge hydraulics, roadway ditches, temporary and permanent erosion and sediment control and stormwater treatment. In order to complete the Fillmore County DFIRM maps appeal process TKDA also provided the MnDNR with the necessary modeling and mapping. TKDA was also responsible for the preparation of the CATEX and the development of the drainage plans, details, profiles and tabulations; culvert plans and details; temporary erosion and sediment control plans; turf establishment plans and SWPPP.
