As part of a long-range plan for new development, the City of Woodbury commissioned TKDA to provide engineering services for the Radio Drive Reconstruction and Expansion Project near the East Ridge School. To accommodate future traffic, the two-lane rural road needed to be widened into a four-lane divided urban section.
TKDA’s team worked with multiple stakeholders to create the preliminary and final designs for the roadway and trails including a new pedestrian underpass, storm water conveyance and treatment and landscaping recommendations. Through a detailed traffic analysis, TKDA determined that a roundabout and traffic signal would provide acceptable traffic operations now and in the future. By closely coordinating with the diverse group involved, TKDA helped keep the project on schedule and on budget.
