TKDA worked within an aggressive timeline to develop better drainage solutions for the I-35 Mega Project
MnDOT District 1 staff commissioned TKDA to assist with storm sewer modeling design for approximately five miles of the I-35 Mega Project through Duluth.
The TKDA design included computing the hydrology for approximately 400 catch basins, analyzing the proposed storm sewer systems in GEOPAK drainage and developing HydroCAD models for the proposed ponds. TKDA joined MnDOT’s design staff and in less than two weeks delineated drainage areas, developed hydrology, modeled, tabulated and drafted profiles for over 450 catch basin structures and 30,000 feet of storm sewer.
