Wisconsin Point Dunes Restoration

Wisconsin Point is a unique stretch of shoreline between Lake Superior and the St. Louis River, valued for its natural beauty, ecological significance, and cultural history. To help protect this important landscape while improving public access, the City of Superior partnered with TKDA to develop a restoration and enhancement plan. The project included designing 750 feet of wooden boardwalks and restoring impacted dune areas, including reestablishing native dune grass in previously disturbed locations. These improvements help visitors experience the site’s natural features while reducing impacts on sensitive dunes.
