Preston Truck Station

Originally constructed in 1957 and expanded in 1996, the Preston Truck Station needed significant exterior improvements as its roof, siding, and windows reached the end of their useful lives. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) completed a comprehensive building envelope upgrade to improve the facility’s energy efficiency, appearance, and long-term maintainability. The replacement materials needed to meet current codes, provide low-maintenance performance, and complement the building’s location next to a Veterans Cemetery. As part of the work, TKDA reviewed the existing roof structure to determine whether it met Minnesota Building Code requirements.
