Bluff Stabilization

To protect an existing structure and prevent future deterioration, stabilization was required for the 60-foot-high bluff. TKDA’s* work involved a geological investigation and design of a two-tiered concrete retaining wall with rockbolt tiebacks. Our team also provided geological investigation, finite element analysis, preliminary and final design, plan and specification preparation, and construction engineering and administration.

*Professional services for this project were provided by CNA Consulting Engineers, which was acquired by TKDA in 2025. CNA employees continue to work at TKDA, contributing their civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering experience. Learn more about the acquisition here.
