Having worked as an electrical engineer and project manager since 1996, Brian will bring extensive experience to the TKDA team as he aims to take on a heavy role in client and project leadership.

Brian has previously worked as an engineer at firms in the Madison, Wisconsin and Holland, Michigan areas. His most recent position was project manager, a role that he has held for the last ten years. Brian’s deep experience in industrial engineering projects will make him a great fit for TKDA.

“Brian’s expertise in both electrical engineering and project management of large, complex projects is an enormous benefit not only to our clients, but to our emerging engineers as well” said Rusty Steitz, vice president of Facilities Engineering at TKDA. “Brian’s leadership abilities will be a catalyst for the growth of our team, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome him.”

During his professional career, Brian has led many large engineering projects. His most notable project was working with HARIBO of America Manufacturing to design and build their first production complex in North America. The project included half a million square feet of facility construction including a production facility, a warehouse, and wastewater pretreatment plant on a highly visible site that covered over 100 acres. During this process. Brian had to convert the project to a virtual environment as his team worked to complete the design due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Brian earned a Bachelor and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He is licensed to practice in Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Michigan, Nebraska, New Mexico, South Carolina and Wisconsin. Brian is also LEED and PMP Accredited Professional.

Brian is excited to transition into a full service firm in TKDA. His experience will allow him to quickly adapt to the company’s projects and clients. Brian is thrilled for the opportunity to grow here at TKDA and to continue TKDA’s tradition of excellent client service.

In his free time, Brian enjoys sea kayaking, weight lifting, taekwondo, and photography.
