Sam McKinney to Spearhead Transportation Planning at TKDA

We are excited to announce the promotion of Samantha McKinney, PLA, AICP, to lead our Transportation Planning group. Sam is a Professional Landscape Architect and Certified Planner with more than 14 years of experience. During the last five years, she has proven her ability to lead and grow TKDA’s new Transportation Planning group by championing the development of our transportation planning capabilities and client base, establishing us as a recognized partner for these services among our clients.

Our experience within the transportation market has proven that investing in comprehensive planning and community engagement before preliminary engineering begins results in more efficient overall project delivery. “Sam has played a vital role in the continued growth of our transportation planning capabilities at TKDA,” said Matt Christensen, Surface Transportation Vice President. “Her new role allows Sam to build on a strong foundation of technical mentorship and long-term relationships with clients, which is invaluable to our team.”

As a Group Manager, Sam will continue developing our capabilities by delivering corridor studies, community engagement, and other planning-driven, pre-engineering solutions to ensure we maintain the quality and excellence we are known for.
