The TKDA architecture team kept Duluth's LEED Silver AMSOIL Arena on time and budget
TKDA was the Architect-of-Record for the LEED Silver, $60M AMSOIL Arena that opened on time and under budget in 2010. The 6,764-seat hockey facility is the new focal point to the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center complex and new home for the University of Minnesota Duluth men’s and women’s hockey program. The arena is also a state-of-the-art entertainment venue with its concert capacity of up to 9,264. The open bowl design ensures optimum viewing from every seat in the house. TKDA collaborated with the design firm Populous on the facility. The facility also includes a team lounge, locker rooms, fitness and conditioning facilities; a hydrotherapy room; video and weight rooms and offices.
