SR 3 Chico Creek Fish Barriers

The SR 3 Chico Creek Fish Barriers project supported efforts to better understand and improve stream crossings along SR 3 in Kitsap County, Washington. TKDA* performed topographical survey and mapping services, where the work included documenting existing pipe inverts, drainage ditch locations, culvert crossing inverts, Chico Creek stream channel sections, and SR 3 and Chico Way alignments. By providing accurate survey and mapping data, the team helped establish the information needed to evaluate existing conditions around Chico Creek and support future fish passage improvements. The project ties transportation infrastructure to ecological outcomes by helping transportation partners better understand how roadway crossings interact with local waterways.
