Justin Hicks joins TKDA Rail Division in Chicago

Justin W. Hicks, PE, has joined our Rail Division as part of our Chicagoland team.

He is a senior engineer with 10 years of experience as a designer and manager on a wide array of rail projects. He has designed freight yard, mainline and industrial rail trackage; been involved in intermodal/port master planning; and has generated detailed designs for a variety of projects involving pavement, electrical, water, sanitary/storm sewer and communications/fiber optic systems.

His master planning experience includes more than half a dozen intermodal and on-dock facilities at ports, where he worked closely with the client to understand existing operations and assemble an array of high-level design options and cost estimates that provide a growth path from today into the future.

Justin received his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University, where he also earned a Master of Science in that field.
