Careers at TKDA

Celebrating the Wisdom and Foresight That Shape TKDA

Sagacity – encompassing wisdom, legacy, and history, and the foresight that is made possible through these attributes – is the foundation of how we approach our work at TKDA. The culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration that our founder, Max Toltz, set in motion in 1910 remains at the center of our business today. To honor this legacy, we hold our annual Sagacity Spotlight Awards to recognize our employee owners’ contributions and achievements centered around our shared values: trust, integrity, excellence, and inclusion.

Building Trust

Ben Meemken is the recipient of the Building TRUST award because of his ability to consistently build solid relationships with clients and colleagues. Through his steady leadership, Ben has brought stability and growth to our Water / Wastewater team as a Technical Group Manager. In this role, he has earned the trust of his team, project stakeholders, and key clients. He consistently recognizes his staff for their contributions and support, fostering a culture of mutual respect, trust, and collaboration.

Demonstrating Integrity

At TKDA, the definition of integrity means aligning quality and safety, and Jason Lind demonstrates care for both every single day. Jason has a remarkable background in material handling and processing design, and he does a great job at leading projects in challenging conditions with a positive attitude. Because of his integrity, Jason engages with his team and clients while prioritizing safety to ensure structures are built safely and effectively.

Achieving Excellence

Mike Mueller embodies excellence and continuously strives to deliver the best experience to our clients. Throughout his career, Mike has proven himself to be a virtuous, hard-working project manager. He repeatedly and vocally advocates for our clients, taking ownership of and accountability for our work. He assists and lifts others on the team to their own higher levels of performance and coordinates with the entire team to help deliver better results.

Cultivating Inclusion

Amanda White has a natural gift for mentoring, earning her the Cultivating INCLUSION Award. Nothing is more inclusive than someone who uses their skills to serve others and make their voices heard – and Amanda utilizes her experience and deep expertise to address the needs of our clients and stakeholders. Amanda is very proactive in sharing her knowledge, and she is someone who many of our emerging professionals and veteran employee owners will look back on as a pillar of their career.

Max Toltz Sagacity Award

At TKDA, we show sagacity through collaborating with clients, engaging with communities and professional organizations, and sharing ideas and experiences internally to mentor and elevate each other. The Max Toltz Sagacity Award is awarded to those who best embody the character of sagacity.
