Aviation Market Manager Ben Humphrey joins Minnesota State University – Mankato as an adjunct professor

Ben Humphrey, TKDA’s Aviation Market Manager, stepped into a new role as an adjunct professor at Minnesota State University – Mankato. TKDA is deeply involved in the Mankato community, from building taxiways at the airport to educating the next generation of aviation leaders.

This is Ben’s first semester teaching the Aviation Management course, where he will provide students with an understanding of airline management and financial techniques related to aviation businesses. Ben is most looking forward to sharing his airline, airport, and consulting experience with the next generation of aviation leaders. “I want to expose students to the multitude of opportunities in aviation beyond being a pilot,” says Ben when asked what he hopes his students will gain from his class. “For those that ultimately will be a professional pilot, I want them to understand that there are hundreds of thousands of people and billions of dollars that make up the aviation community, which allows them to fly.”

Ben views the opportunity to teach as a way of giving back to the aviation community that has served him for 30 years.
