As passenger rail service continues to play a vital role in connecting communities across the Pacific Northwest, Amtrak invested in modernizing its Seattle King Street Coach Yard Maintenance Facility. The improvements increased maintenance capacity, enhanced operational efficiency, and created safer, more functional work environments for employees responsible for keeping passenger rail service running reliably. Delivered through a phased approach, the project added new maintenance, warehouse, administrative, and support facilities that streamlined operations and expanded the yard’s ability to service equipment.
