TKDA helped expand major processing facility on tight timeline

In order to increase production, the Client needed to expand its cheese processing facility in New Ulm, Minnesota. TKDA completed the final design for this 88,000 SF project.

TKDA’s design included the addition of a 14,000 SF Tank Farm and Powder Handling room and a 3,200 SF penthouse for the Powder Handling equipment. TKDA also provided the design for a 65,000 SF remodel to existing spaces for a new cheese processing line. Additional work included a new 1300 HP boiler, five new roof top air handling units, two 2500 kva transformers, and new LED lighting throughout the facility. To complete the project, TKDA operated on a fast-track design schedule and met all required sanitary design features.
