TKDA worked with Three Rivers Park District to design the reconstruction of the Medicine Lake Regional Trail, which is an integral component of the metropolitan area system. The off-road multi-use trail provides a link to other regional and local trails, and provides service to Fish Lake Regional Park, Elm Creek Park Reserve and French Regional Park. TKDA evaluated the existing trail condition and provided recommendations for areas to be reconstructed. The project included trail realignment in several areas, a bicycle/pedestrian bridge over Elm Creek and segments of boardwalk across two wetland areas. The completed project provides safe, accessible and interesting recreational experiences for users of this important link in an exceptional regional trail system.
