TKDA performs industrial waste system (IWS) evaluations and upgrades for rail clients throughout the United States. Detailed inventory of existing conditions and cleaning of pipelines and manholes is done prior to inspection. The inspection team evaluates manholes and piping using visual and video methods followed by more detailed low-pressure, pneumatic and hydrostatic testing.
After the evaluation process, TKDA determines which repair methods are best suited to correct the deficiencies. Construction documents are created and distributed to invited contractors to perform the work. TKDA works with the selected contractor providing construction management services during the construction phase. Working with local personnel to understand operations and available work windows, TKDA has successfully evaluated and upgraded industrial waste systems while simultaneously minimizing operational disturbances.
