To provide a better athletic experience, Gustavus Adolphus College wanted to build a new multi-purpose stadium on campus. TKDA provided the programming, design, cost estimating and construction administration services for the new 3,500-seat stadium.
The new stadium design invites spectators through the arched gateway of Traditions Plaza. Featuring a prominent three-level tower, the stadium’s amenities include concessions, restrooms, a hospitality suite and a press box. With a synthetic turf playing surface, the stadium serves as a first-class venue for intercollegiate sports while providing the durability needed for daily physical education and recreational use. By placing the stadium adjacent to the school’s athletic complex, TKDA delivered a cost-effective solution that allows for use of existing campus locker rooms.
