TKDA designed a deicing facility to benefit major airline
After contracting aircraft deicing to an airport service provider for four years, Southwest Airlines determined it would be more beneficial to provide their own deicing services. TKDA prepared the design for the construction of a facility to receive, store, mix and dispense glycol for aircraft deicing.
TKDA prepared plans and specifications for the new building at a 3,100 SFÂ site on the airfield adjacent to the existing glycol storage facility. TKDA also provided construction administration services including shop drawing review and field observation.
