The introduction of varsity football to the College of St. Scholastica sparked the need to construct new facilities that would support the program. The college hired TKDA to design a new artificial turf football field that could serve the football and soccer programs.
TKDA’s design accommodated both sports while providing space for future spectator seating. The project required extensive campus enhancements including drainage and storm water management improvements that were sensitive to the critical natural habitat of Chester Creek, a trout stream that flows through campus. The new field has allowed St. Scholastica’s football program to develop while adding a renewed sense of pride to the campus.
