Passenger Loading Bridge Replacement

TKDA worked with Milwaukee County staff to replace 13 passenger loading bridges and relocate one passenger loading bridge at Concourses C and D at the Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport. This project systematically integrates the realignment of aircraft gates and ramp service roads based on an aircraft gate fitment analysis completed by TKDA. This phased, multi-year construction project replaces aging infrastructure while simultaneously improving ramp safety, increasing gate revenue, and providing the airport an avenue to adjust work scope to meet budget constraints in each year of construction.

Capital Project Infrastructure Placement Plan

TKDA's integrated team of architects, landscape architects, engineers, GIS staff, and planners worked with the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) to develop a Capital Projects Placement Plan for the Nine Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant 160-acre campus. The campus includes 42 structures, totaling approximately 355,416 SF. This planning exercise evaluated current facilities and infrastructure and assessed the ability of these facilities to support the MMSD’s new strategic plan. The plan identifies the preferred location of new office and operations facilities and infrastructure projects; changes in treatment processes and energy infrastructure; and staff mobility, safety, and wellness.
