Ramsey County is replacing the aging eastbound Warner Road Bridge with a new bridge and constructing two new trail bridges to eliminate the existing at-grade pedestrian crossings at the on and off ramps for Childs Road. Warner Road Bridge spans over nine Class 1 railroad tracks with over 100 trains passing each day.
The new eastbound structure will be a seven-span pre-stressed concrete beam bridge supported on deep foundations. To minimize disruption to the railroads, the deep foundations for the piers in the railroad corridor are micropile that were installed from the existing bridge deck.
