TKDA offers comprehensive bridge engineering services that include the design of new bridges as well as the replacement, rehabilitation and repair of bridges located on trails, highways, and railroads. Our bridge design staff has completed a wide range of projects ranging from the typical prestressed concrete beam bridges to the less common post-tensioned or reinforced concrete slab bridges and curved post-tensioned concrete box girder bridges. The steel bridge types designed by TKDA staff include composite steel girder bridges (both straight and curved), railroad deck girder bridges and railroad through-girder bridges. TKDA has also prepared plans for the rehabilitation of historic truss bridges, performed fatigue analyses and retrofit designs for steel bridges, performed load rating calculations for numerous bridges and evaluated complex structures.
