With the growth and increased recognition of organized sports, the design of associated athletic facilities is critical to a successful program. Along with this growth, the complexity of field systems and regulations has expanded and these need to be considered when improving an existing sport facility or developing a new field.
TKDA provides high-quality athletic facility design for colleges and universities, K-12 schools and communities. We have designed football fields, soccer fields, track and field complexes, baseball and softball fields, basketball, tennis courts, and multi-use facilities. We maintain close ties with suppliers to stay abreast of new technologies and trends in the industry.
TKDA has a team of architects and engineers experienced in athletic field design. Our project approach is based on understanding the sports program specific to the field, the site context, the location’s opportunities and constraints, as well as the governing organizations’ regulations specific to the sport. We work closely with athletic directors and coaches, administration, physical plant managers, and building committees so that the outcome is both functional and aesthetic.
