In this role, you will be seated front and center and recognized as the 'face and voice of TKDA' when greeting visitors and answering phones. You will be actively involved with all office operations and activities and be seen as the "go-to" resource for all incoming and outgoing communications.
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our reputable Aviation team in downtown Saint Paul as a Graduate Engineer! As a member of our team, you will work alongside Civil Engineers, Designers, Technicians, and Planners to provide engineering expertise at airports across the country including small general aviation airports, large international hub airports, and military bases. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings using AutoCAD, frequently performing calculations for project dimensions and elevations, computing and tabulating quantities, and occasionally performing preliminary surveys and construction administration duties as needed. As shown by our extensive portfolio, you will contribute to the rehabilitation and construction of runways, taxiways, aprons, utilities, roadways, NAVAIDS, fueling facilities, and security enhancements, which will provide you with a variety of challenging project opportunities.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the growth, direction, financial performance, and leadership of our Saint Paul Municipal Engineering team. As a leader, you will coach and mentor a talented team of engineering professionals and be responsible for their professional development in relation to overall team objectives and their professional aspirations. You will also serve as a Project Manager and collaborate with other Project Managers to evaluate the scope, complexity and scheduling requirements of current and projected multiple municipal projects, and coordinate planning strategies to ensure successful project execution from conception through construction. You will also leverage your technical knowledge to provide and oversee quality assurance and quality control efforts for all Municipal Services projects.
Our Facilities Engineering team provides planning, design, and construction phase services across all of TKDA's markets, with the primary focuses on industrial facility and building design. As a member of our team, you will work alongside a multi-disciplined team of professionals to deliver building and facility design for a diverse client base in our industrial, government, education, and mining markets. You will have the opportunity to work on or lead the design efforts on multidiscipline and mechanical engineering projects. Design work will include plant/building systems, load calculations, energy modelling, and HVAC, piping and plumbing systems. The position will also include the preparation of mechanical plans, specifications, design details and construction documentation. Opportunities are also available for working on projects for our heavy industrial clients in the Mining, Oil and Gas, and Energy Generation sectors. Furthermore, this position will allow you to participate in project development and fee estimating, attend client presentations and interviews, meet with code officials, and perform inspections at project sites.

As a member of our Environmental team, you would provide technical expertise for environmental permitting, CEQA / NEPA, and cultural resources analysis. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing and managing environmental site assessments, performing field mapping and aerial photographic analysis, reviewing technical studies and developing reports, and managing a variety of environmental projects from conception to completion while collaborating with Local, State, and Federal oversight agencies.
